Dog Home Boarding North Wales
Your dog can come to live as one of the Berry’s Pet Services gang at our rural home in Bwlchgwyn.
Nestled in a hill in North Wales’ highest village with over half an acre of secure gardens and woodland to play in and explore, Berry’s Pet Services is a great home from home for your precious pooch.
You dog will live in our home; no kennels here – our sofas are your dog’s sofas! We also run our sister business, www.berryandfriends.co.uk on site, so add ons are available throughout your dogs’ stay.
We do have friendly resident dogs, so can only cater for dogs who get on with other dogs. Your dog is welcome to have time away from ours if preferred, i.e. a space of their own overnight, solo garden exploring time, meals served in a different room etc however would need to be generally non-reactive to other dogs to be happy here.

We have a few rules in order to board with us:
- All dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment- proof of this must be provided upon booking. This is a mandated insurance and licensing requirement so there can be no exceptions
- All dogs (with the exception of very young puppies) must be fully house trained. This includes being toilet trained, non-destructive and generally well-behaved in the home
- Dogs must not show aggression towards other dogs. Its perfectly understandable and acceptable that not all dogs will be best friends, however if your dog generally does not get on with any other dogs then we unfortunately cannot board
- Adult male dogs must be neutered
We also provide a local dog walking service, so your dog will get to come on lots of different walks and make new friends when they stay with us, as well as having plenty of 121 time.
- Whilst we will accept unspayed female dogs, if your dog is in or comes into season whilst boarding with us, you will be asked to sign a separate waiver stating you understand your dog cannot take part in group walks. This is for the safety of your dog
If they want to of course – if not, they can also just chill at home with Mr Berry’s Pet Services instead!
All ages and sizes of dogs can be catered for – and their exercise when staying with us will be adapted accordingly. So if you have a sofa snoozer then that’s where they can be and if you have a boundless energy pup then multiple daily walks will be perfect!
We’re experienced with puppies, elderly dogs, allergy-sufferers, dogs who require special diets, dogs who require medication, big dogs, little dogs, needy dogs – and grumpy dogs!

Prices
We are licensed to have seven dogs boarding with us, so with our two resident dogs, we can accept up to five dogs for home boarding. We are therefore NOT suitable for anyone wanting their dog to be a solo board. We also only accept a maximum of three dogs from the same home.
The total dogs boarding with us at any given time is at our discretion, and priority will be given to existing clients who already have a relationship with our resident dogs:
- £45 per night
- £55 for two dogs from the same home
- £70 for three dogs from the same home
We are happy to work around you for drop off and collection times and can accommodate this from 8am – 10pm. Your total booking will be calculated based on your collection time in accordance with our 1/2 and full day dog sitting prices.
Fancy adding a www.berryandfriends.co.uk treat box? From £10 a box, you can pre-book a selection of delicious 100% natural treats for your dog to enjoy while they stay with us.
To secure a booking, a 20% deposit of your total cost is required and your remaining balance must be paid before or upon commencement of your dog’s stay. This can be either cash or bank transfer.
Your booking is not confirmed until a successful meet & greet has taken place at Berry’s Pet Services HQ with our resident dogs, a trial night (for any dogs unknown to Berry’s Pet Services) and a 20% deposit paid.
Deposits are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled with less than one week notice. If you cancel your booking with less than 48 hours notice, you will be billed for the entire charge, as it is not reasonable to expect us to be able to fill that space with so little notice.
Trial Night

A trial night is mandatory for dogs not already known to Berry’s Pet Services.
This is offered at a reduced rate and you or your emergency contact must be available to collect your dog(s) should it be necessary during this time:
- £35 for one dog (5pm drop off & 12pm latest collection)
- £45 for two dogs (5pm drop off & 12pm latest collection)
- £60 for three dogs (5pm drop off & 12pm latest collection)
Please note the same booking terms apply for a trial night.
We will do our best to allocate a date where no other dogs are boarding, however this may not always be possible, particularly during peak holiday times.
Make your booking enquiry with us here.
Visiting Us
You of course need to see where your dog is staying before you choose us (and naturally – your dog is welcome too!)
We’re happy to accommodate humans only first visits and even no humans visits(!) as we know some dogs can get jealous if their humans interact with other dogs in front of them. We’ll work with you to make the most of your meet and greet.
