Dog Boarding Information
Thank you for choosing Berry’s Pet Services to take care of your furry friend – we can’t wait to welcome them!
Please read through this information thoroughly.
Proof of vaccination must be provided prior to booking commencement – we cannot accept dogs who are not up to date with their vaccinations, flea and worming treatments.
Your dog will be treated the same as our dogs and live in our home with us. Please let us know if your dog is not allowed on furniture or any other house rules, and we will of course abide by them.
If your dog usually sleeps in a crate, we can provide this but please bring any bedding /blankets to come with them where possible, as most dogs prefer their usual set up.
It’s entirely up to you if you want to provide dog bed, bowls and toys for your dog – we have lots of them here but are equally as happy to use the items provided.
Ensure you bring with you:
- Dog collar with ID attached (by UK law dogs must have identification on them when out in public). We are happy to remove their collar if they don’t normally wear one whilst at home and generally do remove dog collars once they’re settled for the night
- Dog lead (we have plenty to choose from but some dogs prefer their own lead!)
- Dog harness (if they wear one – if your dog doesn’t wear a collar, it’s fine to attach an ID tag to the harness instead)
- If applicable, their coat they would normally wear in bad weather
- Enough food for the duration of their stay (we can provide emergency food, however this will incur an additional fee and we cannot guarantee it will be the same as their usual food).
We’re able to cater for raw-fed diets but require full instructions on quantities to ensure we keep your dog happy and healthy
- Any medication your dog requires including the full instructions on administering. Please ensure enough is provided for the duration of their stay – whilst we would do our best to obtain more, this again would incur an additional fee and may not be possible
Unless you tell us otherwise, your dog will usually have either two walks a day or one extra long walk. If your dog is a regular with us and has perfect recall, some walks may be off lead however if not, these walks will be on lead. Your dog will have plenty of opportunity for off-lead play and exploring whilst home with us.
We’ll take plenty of photos and videos for you, but we don’t want to be over-bearing whilst you’re enjoying a holiday. So you can let us know how often you’d like updates – whether on the hour, every hour, every few days or on your return! All dog parents are different 🙂
If your dog shows signs of being unwell, sickness or diarrhoea within 48 hours of your booking, we request you seek veterinary advice and provide a vets note to confirm your pet is well enough to board with us.
If your dog becomes unwell in our care, we will make contact with you and take every step possible to resolve the problem. If the issue isn’t something we can resolve in-house, your vet (or our vet – Rhyd Broughton Vets,if you are not local to us) will be contacted.
As part of license conditions, we have the ability to quarantine an entire floor of our home if necessary to keep any dogs who become unwell whilst boarding with us separated from other dogs. Your dog(s) would still have access to outdoor space, beds and sofas.
Booking Terms
Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit (20% of your total stay) is paid. Your remaining balance will be minus your deposit.
Your booking must be paid for in full either before or on the day your booking begins. This can either be in cash on the day or via bank transfer.
Deposits are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled with less than one week notice. If you cancel your booking with less than 48 hours notice, you will be billed for the entire charge, as it is not reasonable to expect us to be able to fill that space with so little notice.
We reserve the right to refuse bookings to any person(s) who repeatedly cancel bookings.
Privacy Policy
Berry’s Pet Services appreciate the importance of privacy and as such, all information regarding clients will be kept private and confidential.
We are fully insured with Protectivity Insurance along with full public liability insurance. We are happy to provide a copy of this to you on request.
Our premises are protected with CCTV both outdoors and indoors. Footage is automatically over-written after 30 days, unless we have had reason to retain. Should CCTV footage of you or your dog(s) be retained, you will be informed of this and the reason why.
Liability
Berry’s Pet Services shall not be liable to the client or be deemed in breach of contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of its obligations in relation to the services provided if the delay or failure is due to any cause that was out of our reasonable control.
